Patient Search

From the Dashboard, or by clicking Search in the navigation menu, search for a patient by name and date of birth, or by Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) to view their medication history.

Search for a Patient

If the search fields contain criteria from a previous search, select Clear Search.

  1. Expand the Name section and enter the First Name, Surname and Date of Birth.

  2. Alternatively, expand the IHI section and enter the patient's Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI).

  3. Select Search.

  4. In Patient Search Results, records matching the search criteria display in a grid with the following columns:

    • First name
    • Middle name
    • Surname
    • Date of Birth
    • Sex
    • Address
    • Postcode

  5. Apply additional filters to each column header.

  6. Select a patient to view their SafeScript NSW profile.

    When viewing a linked patient, the medication history is displayed first, as it is the most relevant and up-to-date.
